Srinagar, May 09(KINS): Foundation World School on Saturday organised a Cross Country Run for students from UKG to Grade 3 at the picturesque campus of University of Kashmir to promote fitness and overall development among young learners.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who displayed energy, discipline, determination, and sportsmanship during the run. The programme was aimed at encouraging healthy habits and physical activity among children from an early age.
Several dignitaries attended the event, including Prof. Naseer Iqbal, Prof. Pervez Ahmad, Dr. Shahid Ali Khan and Ashiq Hussain.
The school leadership, including Founder Nisar Ahmad Mir, Co-Founder Zia Nisar, Chairman Faizan-ul-Islam, Vice Chairman Zahoor Ahmad Koul, Primary Head Junaid Kochak and KG Head Syed Asma Hamid, was also present on the occasion.
Speaking at the event, Chairman Faizan-ul-Islam appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students and praised the Physical Education Department, Ideation Team, teachers, and staff for successfully organising the programme.
Registrar of Kashmir University, Prof. Naseer Iqbal, lauded the school for promoting fitness and holistic education among children. He said the university remains a place of learning and inspiration and welcomed young students to explore and engage with its vibrant environment.
