CRPF rescues pregnant Woman from remote Aru village, helps her reach Hospital in time

Pahalgam, July 20 (KINS): Personnel of the 116 Battalion of the CRPF rescued a pregnant woman from the remote Nandpal village in the Aru Valley after she went into labour during heavy rainfall and difficult weather conditions.
Officials said the woman developed labour pains, but continuous rain, overflowing streams and rough terrain made it impossible for her family to take her to a hospital. With no other option, the family sought help from CRPF personnel deployed in the area.
The CRPF team immediately launched a rescue operation. Despite the bad weather and challenging terrain, the troops carried the woman across slippery paths and flowing streams to reach a motorable road.
From there, the 116 Battalion arranged an official vehicle with security to take her to the Sub-District Hospital in Pahalgam, where doctors provided immediate medical care.
The woman later gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Hospital officials said both the mother and the newborn are safe and in stable condition.
The woman’s family thanked the CRPF personnel for their timely help, saying their quick response made the safe delivery possible.
Local residents also appreciated the rescue operation and praised the CRPF for helping people during emergencies, especially in remote areas affected by difficult weather and poor connectivity.
The successful rescue highlights the CRPF’s commitment to serving the public and saving lives while carrying out its security duties.(KINS)
