BJP won’t tolerate indiscipline, anti-party or anti-people activities: Adv Sunil Sethi

Srinagar, Aug 12 (KINS): J&K BJP Chief Spokesperson and Chairman of the party’s Disciplinary Committee, Advocate Sunil Sethi, on Wednesday said the Bharatiya Janata Party has demonstrated its commitment to organisational discipline by taking prompt action against those found involved in indiscipline.

Sethi said that on the directions of J&K BJP President and MP Sat Sharma, the party completed the disciplinary process within a week and initiated strict action against those found violating party discipline.

“The BJP is a cadre-based and ideology-driven political organisation where discipline is the cornerstone of its strength. Every party worker, irrespective of position, is accountable to the organisation and expected to follow its principles, values and code of conduct,” Sethi said.

He asserted that the BJP follows a policy of zero tolerance towards indiscipline, anti-party activities or actions contrary to the interests of the people.

“The BJP will not tolerate any form of indiscipline, anti-party or anti-people activities. Anyone found acting against the party’s ideology, organisational discipline or the interests of the people will face strict disciplinary action. There can be no compromise on matters that weaken the organisation or erode public confidence,” he said.

Sethi said the action taken within a week reflects the party’s transparent and accountable internal mechanism, where organisational discipline takes precedence over individual interests.

He also said political parties have a responsibility to maintain internal discipline and accountability, adding that selective action or silence against indiscipline weakens democratic institutions and public trust.

“The BJP has shown that it has the resolve to act without delay whenever organisational discipline is breached. Other political parties should also follow suit by taking firm and impartial action against those indulging in indiscipline, anti-party or anti-people activities instead of shielding them for political convenience,” Sethi said.

Reaffirming the party’s commitment to its core values, Sethi said the BJP would continue to enforce discipline without fear or favour and remain dedicated to its ideology, public welfare and the highest standards of public life.(KINS)
