Security tightened across Bandipora ahead of Independence Day

Bandipora, Aug 12 (KINS): Security arrangements have been strengthened across Bandipora district ahead of Independence Day celebrations, with police intensifying surveillance, frisking and vehicle checking at key locations.
Additional checkpoints have been established along major roads, entry and exit points and other strategically important areas to maintain law and order and ensure foolproof security.
Police personnel are conducting thorough checks of vehicles and verifying registration details, identity documents and other relevant papers of drivers and vehicle owners.
The enhanced security measures have been put in place to ensure the safe and peaceful conduct of Independence Day events across the district.
Police have appealed to the public to cooperate with security personnel during checking and remain vigilant. The strengthened security arrangements will remain in place as part of the efforts to ensure a secure environment for the national celebrations.(KINS)
