Home Minister Amit Shah says Modi Government has no safe haven for drug traffickers, Basoya brought back from UAE

Srinagar, Aug 14 (KINS): The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has secured the return of fugitive drug kingpin Virender Singh Basoya from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Friday.
In a post on X, Shah said the Modi government was relentlessly tracking down drug traffickers hiding abroad and dismantling their entire network as part of its zero-tolerance policy against narcotics.
He said Basoya’s return marked a new milestone in the government’s efforts to combat drug trafficking.
“Modi govt is relentlessly tracking down drug traffickers hiding abroad and destroying their entire ecosystem with a ruthless approach.
Creating a new milestone in the policy of zero tolerance against narcotics, the NCB secured the return of fugitive drug kingpin Virender Singh Basoya from the UAE. By tracing the criminal through a top-to-bottom and bottom-to-top approach, our agencies have once again proven that no matter where drug traffickers hide, they cannot escape the long arm of Indian law.”
Shah said the operation demonstrated the ability of Indian agencies to track fugitives and pursue drug trafficking networks across international borders.(KINS)
