Weather Update J&K: Rain, thundershowers expected today; dry spell likely from Sept 5

Srinagar, Sept 04 (KINS): The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast light to moderate rain and thundershowers at many places across Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, with brief intense showers likely during the afternoon.
According to the forecast, another moderate spell, accompanied by brief intense to heavy showers, is expected towards late night or early morning hours, mainly in the Jammu division.
From September 5 to 10, weather is expected to remain generally dry, with brief spells of rain or thundershowers likely at isolated places.
Between September 11 and 15, scattered areas may witness brief spells of rain and thundershowers, with chances of brief intense showers.
The Meteorological Centre has advised caution as intense, localised showers on September 4 could trigger flash floods, mudslides and landslides in vulnerable areas.
Farmers have been advised that they may continue harvesting and other agricultural operations while keeping local weather conditions in view.(KINS)
