Strict action will be taken against people spreading rumours on social media: SSP Ganderbal

 

Ganderbal, Apr 24 : Strongly refuting the rumours spread on social media about ban on civilian traffic on Srinagar-Leh highway the SSP Ganderbal Khalid Ahmad Poswal warned that those spreading fake news will be sternly death under law.

Talking to news agency SSP Ganderbal said “some whatsapp groups spreaded fake news regarding the ban on civilian traffic on Srinagar leh highway.”

“No such decision was taken regarding the ban on civilian traffic on Srinagar leh highway.”

Asserting that strict action will be taken against people spreading rumours on social media sites, he however said that civilian traffic will not be stopped any where in the district during the movement of forces convoy, adding that ‘strict action under the law will be taken against such person’.
