Detained since August 5, two NC leaders hospitalised

Two leaders of National Conference (NC), detained at MLA Hostel, were shifted to SMHS Hospital, here on Saturday for treatment.

The families of Tanveer Sadiq and Altaf Kaloo told news agency KNS that the health condition of the duo was deteriorating at MLA Hostel. They alleged the leaders were deprived of the basic facilities at the detention centre due to which their health condition was deteriorating.

The duo along with dozens of other political leaders were arrested on August 5. They were initially lodged at Centaur Hotel and later shifted to MLA Hostel.

The families appealed their immediate release. While Sadiq was the political advisor of former Chief Minister Omar Abdulla, Altaf Kaloo was the MLA from Pahalgam Constituency, KNS reported.
