J&K and Ladakh High Court constitutes Adhoc body for Judicial officers association

Srinagar, May 14 (KINS): The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has constituted an adhoc managing body for the registration and transitional functioning of the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh Judicial Officers Association.

According to an order issued by the Registrar General, the decision has been taken in continuation of High Court Order No. 717 of 2026/RG dated May 13 and Order No. 719 of 2026/RG dated May 14.

As per the order, District Judge Naseer Ahmad Dar has been nominated as the President of the Association, while District Judge Jatinder Singh Jamwal has been appointed as Vice-President.

Civil Judge (Senior Division) Chemit Yurgyal will serve as the General Secretary and Civil Judge (Senior Division) Babar Hussain has been designated as Treasurer.

The adhoc managing body also includes judicial officers Manjeet Singh Manhas, Malik Shabir Ahmad, Yash Paul Sharma, Spalzes Angmo, Prem Sagar, Mehreen Mushtaq, Rekha Kapoor, Mohammad Istiyaq Alam Baba, Shama Sharma, Towfeel Ahmad Mir and Arshad Aziz Qureshi as members.

The order stated that the adhoc body will remain functional for a period of three months from the date of registration of the Association.

The order was issued by Registrar General M.K. Sharma on May 14, 2026.(KINS)
