KUPWARA, AUGUST 12: On the instructions of Sub Divisional Magistrate, Tehsildar Karnah today convened a meeting of all concerned officers and representatives of various departments to review arrangements put in place for smooth celebration of Independence Day in the border Tehsil.
The meeting was informed that the National event, Independence Day shall be celebrated at Mini Secretariat Tangdar and the Chief Guest will take salute in March Past which will be presented by contingents of JK Police, Forest Protection Police and NCC cadets.
It was given out that all officers of the sub division along with their subordinate staff shall ensure participation in the event by properly following COVID-19 SOPs especially wearing face masks while attending the function.
Meanwhile, several arrangements including power and water supply, seating, security, Public Address System, availability of face masks and hand sanitizers were finalised in the meeting.
