Baramulla, August 28: Forces on Friday afternoon launched a cordon and search operation in north Kashmir’s Nowpora Jageer.
An official told KINS that following inputs about the presence of some militants in Nowpora Jageer area of Kreeri Baramulla, a joint team of Army’s 52 RR, SOG and CRPF sealed the area and conducted house to house searches in the area.
Pertinently, Kreeri area since last 10 days are on high alert after two separate gunfights took place in which four militants, two army soldiers, two CRPF personnel and SPO were killed.
