40 percent syllabus relaxation for class 10, 12

Srinagar Oct 23: After JKBOSE announced date sheets for examination of class 10 and 12, government on Friday said there will be 40 percent syllabus relaxation for students of these two classes. 
An official told news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) that class 10 examination will begin from November 9 and culminate on November 27. Similarly, the class 12 examination will begin from November 10 and end on December 12.
The announcement of date sheets has ended uncertainty among students of class 10 and 12.
Earlier, the JKBOSE had announced tentative date sheet for class 10 examination from November 15 and later preponed from November 1. “Now the final date sheet has been announced and there is ample time for students for preparations,” the official added. 
Minutes after government announced a 40 percent syllabus relaxation for the upcoming class 10 and 12 annual exams, 10 percent more than the discount announced earlier.
“BOSE increases relaxation by 40%, Students to attempt 60% marks which will be raised to 100%. Done in interest of Students, ” K K Sharma, advisor to the J&K Lieutenant Governor who hold the School Education portfolio Tweeted as per news agency KINS.

Earlier this year, the then Principal Secretary School Education, Asgar Hassan Samoon announced a 30 percent relaxation in the syllabus for the twin exams in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
