Lt Gen R P Singh visits Jammu Air Force Station

Jammu, July 2 (KINS) Army Commander Western Command, Lt Gen R P Singh on Friday visited Jammu based Air Force Station to review the status of the investigation into yesterday’s drone attacks.

Two bombs were airdropped with the help of drones in the high-security zone of the Air Force Station on Sunday, injuring two IAF personnel.

Name of Lashkar-e-Toiba had surfaced during the initial investigation. “Western Army Commander Lt Gen RP Singh along with his team of army officers visited the Air Force Station, Jammu, today,” defence sources said.

They said that he interacted with the investigators of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and other experts to know the progress of the investigation.

NSG Director and CISF Acting Chief also visited the spot to access the ground report. Ministry of Home Affairs has handed over the investigation to the NIA. (Source: UNI )
