  Director RDD visits Kulgam; Reviews progress on flagship schemes

KULGAM, JULY 29 .( KINS ): Director, Rural Development Department, Kashmir, Tariq Ahmad Zargar, today visited district to review progress on different flagship schemes under implementation in the district.

Director visited various project sites in Pahloo block and took stock of pace of progress on various vital rural development works being executed in the area.

Later, Director chaired a   review meeting which was attended by Project Officer Wage Employment (ACD), Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, District Panchayat Officer, Executive Engineer REW, Block Development Officers and other officers of the district administration.

It was informed during the meeting that 50816 job cards have been issued, 2491 works taken-up, Rs 661.48 lakh wages disbursed and 615 works have been completed under MGNREGA. Besides, 3.09 lakh persondays have been generated and 16223 households provided employment.  Under PMAY(G), against the target of 1719 units, 1107 units have been completed. Besides, 111 works have been approved under CD and Panchayat against which 81 works have been completed and 101 works stand approved for 2021-22.

Under RGSA, 9 Panchayat Bhawans have been taken up for construction in the district and two BDC office buildings and one DDC office building has been approved for construction under Capex 2021.

Director enjoined upon the concerned officers to achieve the targets within stipulated timeframe besides ensuring timely payments to the beneficiaries under MGNREGA. .( KINS )
