KUPWARA, Nov 1 ( KINS): Chairman, District Development Council (DDC) Kupwara, Irfan Sultan Panditpori today inaugurated Panchayat Bhawan Kralgund and laid foundation stone of Block Development Council Office at Supernaghama in Qaziabad block of Kupwara district.
The Additional District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Altaf Ahmad Khan, ACD Kupwara, Mehraj Din Shah; ACP, Shabir Ahmad; BDC Kralgund, Bashir Ahmad and other concerned officers, besides, local PRI members were present at the occasion.
It was informed that the inaugurated Panchayat Bhawan Kralgund has been constructed at a cost of Rs.29 lakh.
The Chairman DDC also laid foundation stone for Block Development Council Office Qaziabad costing Rs.97 lakh at Supernaghama.
Addressing the occasion, the Chairman DDC said that a new era of development has begun with the establishment of the District Development Council and people are witnessing development in their respective villages. He said that corruption has also declined in Government departments with advancement in accountability and transparency.
The Chairman assured the people that he will make special efforts for betterment of their lives by working for overall development of the district.The Chairman stressed upon the officers and officials of Rural Development department to ensure benefits of schemes are completely given to the poor people without indulging in any kind of bribery.
