Jammu, July 07 (KINS): Director General of Police (DGP) J&K, Nalin Prabhat, IPS, held a review meeting at the District Police Office (DPO) Jammu to assess the ongoing campaign against drug abuse and trafficking. He directed officers to intensify the crackdown on the nexus between drug smugglers, terrorists and organised criminals, with particular attention to cross-border networks backed from across the border.
The DGP urged police officers to take firm and sustained action to break these illegal networks and strengthen efforts to make Jammu and Kashmir drug-free.
Later, Prabhat visited the Bhagwati Nagar Base Camp. He examined security measures, and overall management at the camp, and instructed officials to maintain high standards of vigilance and coordination. (KINS)
