Dr Samoon chairs Executive Committee meeting of Skill Development Mission

SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 02( KINS): Principal Secretary, Skill Development Department (SDD), Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon today chaired the Executive Committee meeting of the J&K Skill Development Mission at Civil Secretariat here.

The meeting was attended by Secretary Tribal Affairs and Mission Director, J&K Skill Development Mission, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Director Skill Development Department Sudershan Kumar and other officers.

During the meeting, detailed deliberations and discussion was held on bringing efficiency in Skill institutes, placement of the students and upgrading the courses and trades offered.

Principal Secretary while speaking on the occasion emphasised on the need for placement of the students and said that the same should be taken with the training partners.

He said that goal should be to deliver quality skill training and professional knowledge to the youth. He further highlighted that quality and relevance of courses should be maintained to make the youth future ready besides factor of employability and future aspects of development in industrial sector should also be taken into account.

The Principal Secretary was informed during the meeting that training of students in various courses in going on smoothly. ( KINS)
