Illegal mining: Reasi Admin recovers Rs 2.27 lakh fine from 15 violators

REASI, NOVEMBER 11 ( KINS): Tightening the noose around persons involved in illegal mining of minor minerals, District Administration Reasi, under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Charandeep Singh today recovered Rs. 227711 fine from 15 private vehicles caught transporting illegally extracted minor minerals.

A team  deputed by the DC at different Nakas intercepted  the Vehicles  which  loaded illegally excavated material from river beds  &  streams of District, and  those  found flouting the orders, lacking requisite documents and overcharging against the notified rates.

The team led by the District Mineral Officer inspected scores of vehicles transporting Minor minerals in violation of MM (D&R) Act-1957 and SRO-15.

The DC said that the checking teams will continue inspection till the people of District Reasi get the construction material on notified rates issued by District Administration.

These teams and nakkas are working under the direct supervision of Deputy Commissioner and SSP Reasi Shalindra Singh. ( KINS)
