ARTO Kupwara among 3 officers suspended

 

SRINAGAR, Nov 12 ( KINS): In an order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) of the Jammu and Kashmir Government, three officials of the Transport Department have been placed under suspension, pending enquiry against the corruption charges levelled against them.

The GAD in order No. 60-JK-GAD(Vig) of 2021, dated 12-11-2021, said, “Pending enquiry, the following officer/officials of Transport Department are hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect in terms of Rule-31 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1956.”

The officials mentioned in the order are Mohammad Mukhtar Sofi, ARTO, Kupwara, Khursheed Ahmad Kanna, Motor Vehicle Inspector and Abdul Hamid Bhat, also Motor Vehicle Inspector. The order further read that departmental proceeding in tune with the existing rules be initiated against the suspended officials.

The three officials shall remain attached to Divisional Commissioner Kashmir’s office during the suspended period. (KINS)
