Srinagar Admin holds Sensitization Camp on (LRIS) “Aapki Zameen, Aapki Nigrani” at Shalteng

SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 16 .( KINS): In order to sensitize people about the newly launched Land Record Information System (LRIS), “Aapki Zameen, Aapki Nigrani”, the District Administration Srinagar today organised a daylong Sensitization cum Awareness camp at Tehsil Office Shalteng here for the mass awareness of the people.

The programme was organized by the Tehsil Office Shalteng on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad.

During the Programme, a large number of the people of the area, who participated in the programme, were sensitized about the use of Land Records Information System (LRIS), “Aapki Zameen, Aapki Nigrani”, through a live demonstration.

The experts also demonstrated how Public users can search and view copies of Scanned data online on CIS Portal-http://landrecords.jk.gov.in/ which includes Jamabandis, Girdawaris, Masavis, Mutations etc.

Speaking on the occasion, the Tehsildar Shalteng, Younis Ahmad said that the initiative has put the Revenue Records in Public domain and will facilitate easy online access to the Land Records and can register grievances if any. He asked the people to be well informed about their rights and the initiatives taken by the government so that the benefits of these initiatives are obtained.

He urged them to propagate information of this portal among the people so that they can access their Land Records. .( KINS)
