Kulgam Police Takes Strong Action Against Notorious Drug Peddler, attaches property

Srinagar, Jan 15: Kulgam Police seized a double-storey residential house spanning 625 sq. ft., owned by the infamous drug peddler Mashooq Ahmad Sheikh, son of Ghulam Qadir Sheikh from Khudwani Qaimoh, Kulgam. According to police this move, executed under section 68-F(2) of the NDPS Act 1985, follows diligent investigations linking the property to illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
“The identified property, acquired through unlawful means, is associated with Case FIR numbers 66/2023 at Police Station Qaimoh. Kulgam Police’s unwavering commitment to eradicating the drug menace is evident through this proactive measure.
The local community applauds the police’s initiative in attaching immovable assets linked to the illicit trade of narcotics, reinforcing the battle against drug peddlers in the Kulgam district.
