DC Budgam Kicks Off Car Rally Marking the Start of National Road Safety Awareness Campaign

Srinagar, Jan 15: In a proactive move, District Commissioner (DC) Budgam Akshay Labroo flagged off a car rally, signaling the commencement of a month-long National Road Safety Awareness Campaign in Budgam. Labroo emphasized the significance of adhering to traffic rules and urged the general public to prioritize safety measures, including wearing helmets, fastening seat belts, and maintaining speed limits.
Labroo,underscored the campaign’s goal to foster a culture of responsible driving. “Our collective commitment to following traffic rules is crucial for the safety of everyone on the road,” he stated. The car rally, featuring participants adorned with safety gear, aimed to visually reinforce the importance of these measures.
The DC appealed to citizens to actively contribute to road safety by cultivating responsible habits. “Wearing helmets, using seat belts, and driving within speed limits are not just rules; they are actions that safeguard lives,” Labroo emphasized, calling for a collective effort in creating safer roads in Budgam.
As the National Road Safety Awareness Campaign gains momentum, Labroo expressed optimism that the initiative would instill a sense of responsibility among drivers and pedestrians alike, ultimately contributing to a safer and more secure road environment.
