DC Srinagar visits Lal Ded Hospital, JVC SKIMS Bemina; takes stock of the patient care facilities post snowfall Emphasis on ensuring better healthcare facilities to the patients

SRINAGAR FEBRUARY 04:- The Deputy Commissioner(DC) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat on today conducted a visit to City hospitals including Lal Ded Hospital And JVC, SKIMS Bemina to take stock of the patient care facilities available in wake of overnight snowfall.
At Lal Ded Hospital, the Deputy Commissioner took a round of various units of the Hospital and inspected the Emergency unit, ICU, OPD, IPD and enquired about the patient care facilities available at the hospital.
The DC also inspected the drug store of the hospital and enquired about the medicine available for the patients.
On the occasion, the DC asked the Medical Superintendent Lal Ded, Dr Muzafar Jan to ensure all healthcare facilities to the patients and take appropriate measures to ensure patient care services are not affected at all. He also directed the other line Departments to make sure periodical snow clearance is undertaken, besides stationing of mobile dewatering pumps to overcome water logging.
Later, the DC also visited JVC, SKIMS Bemina to take stock of the patientcare facilities available post overnight snowfall.
On the occasion, the DC inspected various wards, orthopaedic units, labs etc and took on spot assessment of the facilities being provided to the patients.
The DC also interacted with the patients and their attendants and enquired about the facilities available at the hospital.
On the occasion, the DC stressed on the Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Shifa to ensure better healthcare facilities to the patients and also asked them to ensure proper heating and cleanliness in the hospital.
Besides, Chief Planning Officer, Superintending Engineer R&B, the DC was accompanied by Officers from other line Departments.
