SRINAGAR, Dec 1: Former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti said her father gave a supreme sacrifice by joining hands with BJP for the interests of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Mufti sahib made alliance with the BJP for the interests of JK. He gave a supreme sacrifice,” Mehbooba, who is the PDP president, that ruled with the BJP for three years, told a national news channel.
She said that it was in the agenda of her party to make a condusive environment in the state so that forces are pulled out from civilian areas, and talks are held with Hurriyat and Pakistan.
Mehbooba said she struggled for 22-years to become chief minister of the state. “After Gani Lone was killed, his son Sajjad was elected Peoples Conference chairperson. I along with my workers and leaders laid the foundation for the party,” she said.
