Forces launch search operation in Kulgam village

Kulgam, Jan 11 : Government Forces on Friday launched a cordon-and-search operation in South Kashmir’s Kulgam village.

Reports said that a joint team of army’, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search operation at Redwani Balla area of Kulgam.

Reports said that  as soon asforces started door to door search operation in the area, scores of youth hit the streets and pelted stones on forces.

The forces in turn lobbed tear-smoke shells to disperse the protesting youth reports added.

Officials said that following inputs about the presence of suspecious movement searches has been launched, officials further added that as of now no contact with militants has been established.
