Balhama Wuyan-Sempora Athwajan Road in shambles, Govt unmoved

SRINAGAR, April 28: The road from Balhama Wuyan to Sempora Athwajan is in shambles from last one year with authorities seem least interested for its repairing.

Hundreds of vehicles move on this road daily but the irony is officials from Roads and Buildings Department and other concerned departments are not serious to repair this road.

Some elderly people while talking to Kashmir In-Depth said that time and again they have requested authorities to look into this problem but all in vain.
They said tippers ,sumos ,private transport ply on this busy road but it seems Roads and Building Department engineers are reluctant to visit this road and asses the conditions on the ground level.

“Students, business community , professionals, labourers ,women have developed back aches due to bad conditions of this road,” Bashir Ahmad, a local said.

“Time and again resident s of the locality too protested against the department but it yielded no result,” he added.

However people have appreciated Governor of Jammu and Kashmir for showing public friendly approach and appealed him to initiate action against officials for showing non serious approach in repairing this road.

They appealed him to overhaul all offices including
divisions of executive engineers of Kashmir, North ,South and Central Kashmir and assistant executive engineers offices too.
