Don’t harass momos-makers: Munish

Jammu : Editor Early Times, Munish Gupta, who would be contesting the forthcoming assembly elections from Gandhi Nagar constituency, has urged the authorities not to harass momo-makers at Goraknagar.

In a statement Munish said that nearly 70 percent of population out of 2000 thousands Gorkhas are making their ends meet by preparing and selling momos. “Any stern action against them would hit at least 10,000 people who are dependent on their family heads in this area.”

He said there is no harm in obtaining the food license and no one in Gorkha Nagar is opposing it. “These people need to be made aware about hygiene and other factors related to food industry.

They need to be encouraged so that they can turn into entrepreneurs and provide employment to others.

They need to be treated with honour and dignity rather than being hounded,” Munish added.
