Advisor Sharma visits Udyog Bhavan, reviews preparations for Global Investors Summit

Advisor to Lt Governor, KK Sharma, on Sunday visited Udyog Bhavan to take stock of preparations being undertaken for the upcoming Global Investors Summit Meet to be held in Jammu.

Principal Secretary Industries and Commerce, Naveen Kumar Choudhary, Director Industries, Jammu and other senior officers of the department were present.

While reviewing the arrangements being made by the Industries department for the upcoming meet, the Advisor directed the officers for ensuring a well effort for making it a success. He said that the meet will go a long way in catalyzing the industrial sector besides generating employment opportunities for the trained and qualified youth of the Union Territory.

The Advisor said that the government has initiated several measures for promoting entrepreneurial activities in Jammu and Kashmir which are being implemented successfully. In this regard, several success stories of young entrepreneurs of J&K have also been acknowledged nationally.

Naveen Choudhary gave a detailed presentation on arrangements being put in place for the upcoming Summit.

It is pertinent to mention that the meeting was convened as a follow up to the meeting held earlier by Lieutenant Governor, G. C. Murmu on the subject matter.
