BARAMULLA, DECEMBER 17: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Baramulla in collaboration with district administration today organized a seminar in connection with the ‘world Disability day’, here today.
The Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo was the chief guest while Principal District and Sessions Judge Sanjeev Gupta was the guest of honor at the event.
On the occasion, an array of lectures were delivered by prominent resource persons highlighting various legislations and laws meant for the welfare of the specially abled persons.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC deliberated upon various administrative measures taken for the welfare of the community. He said that several measures are afoot in this regard which includes distribution of about 300 three-wheeler and scooties and other assistive devices including sticks and hearing aids.
The chairman of DLSA Sanjeev Gupta and Secretary DLSA Faizan ul Haq Iqbal also spoke on the occasion.
