Four held, 137 kgs of poppy straw like substance seized

Continuing its fight against drug menace, Qazigund Police apprehended four drug peddler in two separate cases and recovered huge quantity of poppy straw in Qazigund area of South Kashmir, here.
A Police team of Police Station Qazigund intercepted, on routine Naka, a Jammu bound Oil Tanker bearing registration number PB10DC 5507 and recovered 125 KG of Poppy Straw packed in 10 different bags and concealed inside the Oil Tanker. In this case Driver and Co driver of Oil tanker apprehended.
In another incident JT Police intercepted a Jammu bound Maruti Celerio Vehicle bearing registrations number JK02CK 4261 and recovered 12 KG of Poppy Straw like substance , apprehended two accused.
Police Station Qazigund has registered two separate cases under relevant sections of law and seized both vehicles.
Further investigation is going on.
