No case of Coronavirus so far in Kmr: Govt

Srinagar, Mar 11: The government Wednesday said that no case of deadly coronavirus has been reported in Kashmir so far.

 “Though several people with travel history to coronavirus hit countries are under surveillance in Kashmir, however, no one has been tested positive for Coronavirus so far, “Shafqat Khan, Nodal Officer Corona Virus Control, J&K told Kashmir Indepth. 

The official maintained that all suspected people in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation and are being monitored. “They have been asked to remain in isolation and take necessary precautions.” he maintained.

He said that preemptive measures are in place to deal with the threat posed by coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir.

The official said that Government is not taking any chance on the issue of Coronavirus and all those arriving from China, Iran Nepal and other countries are being regularly monitored. 

“Though some people earlier had some flue like symptoms, but were detected negative for coronavirus,” said the official.
