World Earth Day: Army organizes online painting competition

Srinagar, Apr 22 (KINS): The Indian Army today said that it organised an online painting competition for the students of Army Goodwill School, Budkot on the occasion of the 50th World Earth Day.

In a statement issued to news agency KINS the Army said that students and teachers keenly participated in the event to make it a success which was evident from the talent showcased.

“The competition was aimed to promote awareness about our planet, encourage extracurricular activities amongst the youth as well as help children develop their fine arts skills. A large participation amongst the students was witnessed in the event and they came up with spectacular art that expressed their vivid imagination on canvas. The paintings allowed the children to freely convey the message of love and peace” it said.
