Secretary FCS&CA launches ‘Door to Door’ Delivery facility at BPCL outlet Raya Morh

JAMMU, MAY 07: Secretary Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCSC&A), Department, Simrandeep Singh, today launched ‘Door to Door’ Delivery facility at BPCL Retail Outlet M/S Kalish Filling Station Raya Morh on NH 44.

Secretary FCS&CA, while appreciating this innovative service, said that Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited which is India’s second largest oil marketing company (OMC) is pioneer in bringing many consumer friendly initiatives. “By launching this most convenient facility here BPCL has become the first OMC in J&K to bring this novel concept of Door to Door delivery of High Speed Diesel at consumer’s doorsteps”, he asserted.

This has been done in line with Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas’s recently relaxed guidelines to the   market (HSD) through the technology enabled Tank-Truck Fitted with Electronic Dispenser, similar to the one at fuel stations. The filling facility of the tank truck is a similar version of the facility at oil depots having state of the art flow metering mechanism having certification of the Department of Explosives. This is considered as a step towards bringing fuel sales on the e-commerce platform using mode of technology where end to end electronic locking is ensured.

Speaking on the occasion, BPCL’s Territory Manger for J&K and Ladakh Rajesh Sharma stated that this facility will bring in a new revolution in the door to door delivery of fuel to the industrial and institutional customers. He also stated that this concept has already been approved by the ministry as a start up by the name of FuelEnts (Fuel+Entrepreneurs), which shall be open to people other than petroleum dealers and will be registered by OMCs as DDD resellers.

Earlier, a live demonstration was done by Company’s Area Sales Manager Dushyant Sharma along with the dealer of the Retail Outlet at Bari Brahmana Industrial Association office in presence of its President Lalit Mahan.
