Home Minister Amit Shah reviews J&K situation

Srinagar, June 05 (KINS): Union Home Minister Amit Shah reviewed the overall situation of Jammu and Kashmir Union territory.

Sources told news agency KINS that top officials of the MHA, especially those looking after the affairs of new Union Territory Jammu and Kashmir informed the home minister about the overall situation of the JK union territory.

Sources said that the home minister was satisfied over the situation. “Senior officers of Home Ministry gave detailed briefing to the Union Home Minister on the internal security as well as the situation prevailing along the borders” sources maintained.

One of the top officials said that the Home minister was satisfied with the progress of “Operation launched against militants by security forces in Kashmir in which number of militants including top commanders have been killed on hinterland while series of infiltration attempts have been foiled on the borders”.

The home minister took stock of the situation and was briefed about the steps taken to maintain peace along border areas as well as in the Valley, a security official added. (KINS)
