Two militants killed in south Kashmir encounter :IGP Kashmir

Anantnag ,June 30(KINS): Two unidentified militants have been killed in a gunfight which broke out between security forces and millitants in Bijbehara area of South Kashmir on Tuesday morning.

A police officer news agency KINS that two militants have been killed in an ongoing gunfight while operation is underway.

Earlier, a joint team of Army’s 3 RR, Police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation at Waghama area of Bijbhera following inputs about the presence of suspecious movement in the area.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them which was retaliated triggering an encounter in the area.


Meanwhile IGP Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar confirmed the killings of militants in the area and sai the searches in the area is on.

In wake of this Gunfight authorities have Suspended internet services in parts of Bijbhera as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order problem.(KINS)
