Lt Governor remembers Lal Bahadur Shastri on his Birth Anniversary


SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 01: Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha remembered Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri on his Birth Anniversary.
Describing him as a symbol of honesty and humility, the Lt Governor said that the former Prime Minister, who was one of the most dynamic leaders India ever had, was able to mobilize the entire nation with the slogan of Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan.
The nation will always remember Shastri ji for two stellar movements- the Green Revolution and the White Revolution, through which, lives of numerous people were uplifted.
Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri was one of the principal figures to lead India towards self-sustenance and self-reliance. On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, I pray that his legacy continues to inspire generations for service to our motherland, he added.
