MACC Kashmir calls on Advisor Khan, appreciates his initiatives towards sports promotion in J&K

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 21: Mehboob-ul-Alam Sports Cricket Club (MACC) Kashmir today called on Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan and submitted charter of their demands.

Manager MACC appreciated Advisor Khan’s initiatives towards promoting sports related activities in Jammu and Kashmir in general and Kashmir Valley in particular besides giving a fillip to youth oriented programmes.

He also thanked Advisor Khan for taking keen interest in the activities and programmes which are being organized in the Valley to push the youth development agenda. He also highlighted certain other sports particularly the cricket and some other arenas in which government has been keenly facilitating maximum youth participation  in Kashmir valley.

Speaking on the occasion, Advisor Khan reaffirmed that the present government is keen to engage more and more youth in sports activities so that their energies are channelized in a right direction. In this regard, he elaborately highlighted several government initiatives being launched to establish latest sports facilities in the UT. 

He said that sports play an important role in personality development of youth adding that various sports clubs are playing an appreciable role in this regard.

MACC presented a certificate of appreciation to the Advisor as a mark of recognition for his support to sports activities. 

Later, MACC presented a charter of demands to the Advisor who assured them all possible assistance to sort out the same.
