DC Anantnag flags off Ration Trucks to remote areas for winter stocking


Srinagar, Nov 04 (KINS): The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, KK Sidha today flagged off 30 ration trucks to remote areas for winter stocking from FCI godown here.
The DC on the occasion said that 21470 quintals of rice are being dumped as 04 months ration in 60 sale outlets in remote areas of the district.
He said 2700 quintals of rice in 30 trucks for 23 sale outlets was despatched for Mathindoo, Vailoo, Pahalgam Shangus and Verinag from FCI godown Mir Bazar here, to start the dumping procedure and ensure proper distribution of ration during upcoming winter.
The DC said that transformers, electric poles, conductor and PHE water pipes are also being dumped under winter preparedness to meet any eventuality during winter.
The DC on the occasion was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ghulam Hassan Sheikh and Assistant Director, FCS&CA.(KINS)
