No traffic on Srinagar-Jammu highway on Wednesday

Srinagar, Jul 27 (KINS ) No traffic will be allowed on Srinagar-Jammu national highway on Wednesday due to weekly maintenance, traffic police official said.

We will not allow any traffic from Jammu or Srinagar tomorrow on the national highway, the only all weather road linking Kashmir valley with the rest of the country, traffic official told .

He said the Union Territory (UT) administration has decided to suspend traffic on the highway on every Wednesday to allow the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) to undertake weekly maintenance, particularly between Nashree and Jawahar tunnel.

He said traffic on other roads—Srinagar-Leh, historic Mughal road and Anantnag-Kishtwar roads—will continue as per schedule.
