Dist. Adm. Anantnag sets up public helpline in view of inclement weather

DC directs officers to remain alert, advises public to stay away from water bodies

ANANTNAG, JULY 28 ( KINS ): In view of the inclement weather and adverse forecast, the District Administration Anantnag under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Piyush Singla has set up public helpline (No’s 9419045044, 9596353667, 9622648865) in addition to the aleady working district level Pukaar helpline (No’s 01932-222255, 01932-222187, 01932-222188) to address any kind of eventuality.

People have also been informed to contact the local magistrates (SDMs, Tehsildars), officers of SDRF, Police and other security agencies, flood control, Health, FCS&CA, PHE, PDD and other departments in case a need arises or any exigency occurs.

In this regard, an emergency meeting of concerned officers was convened by the DC today, here.

The DC directed the officers to remain alert during this phase of rainy weather besides promptly respond to public grievances and distress calls.

Meanwhile, the DC has advised the public to stay away from the water bodies and to prevent children and livestock venture near streams, rivers, Nallahs etc. ( KINS )
