Chairman, PCC inaugurates Divisional Office/ Lab at Kupwara

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 20 ( KINS ) :  The PCCF/Chairman J&K Pollution Control Committee (PCC) Suresh Chugh on Friday inaugurated the Divisional Office cum Lab at Pollution Control Committee Kupwara and Air Monitoring Station Kupwara

Dr. Nadeem Hussain, Regional Director PCC Jammu; Rafi Ahmad Bhat, Regional Director PCC Kashmir and Zahid Mugal Divisional Forest Officer Kamraj Division besides several officers of J&K PCC, Forest Protection Force were present on the occasion.

The office building cum Lab has been constructed by SICOP at a cost of Rs 74 lakhs.

On the occasion, the Chairman expressed his pleasure on the completion of the project and reiterated his resolve to provide adequate infrastructure and facilities to J&K PCC so that the Committee is able to meet the demands of its mandate given by the government.

Before the inauguration, a Guard of honor was presented by the contingent of Forest Protection Force on the arrival of the Chairman.

The inauguration of the building was followed by a ceremonial plantation in the office premises. The Chairman also held detailed discussion with the divisional officers of J&K PCC on solid, liquid and Covid waste disposal in the districts. He also inaugurated one manual air monitoring station in the office premises.

Later the Chairman paid a visit to Divisional Forest Office Kamraj Division and got a brief on the working of the Forest Division.
