Jammu, Sept 24 ( KINS): The curtain raiser for “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” was organised by Congo Brigade on 24 Sep 2021. The occasion was graced by Major General Charanjeet Singh Dewgun, Brig Brijesh Kumar Awasthi, Col Amit Saini and other dignitaries of Indian Army and Civil Administration. The event was aimed at spreading awareness about Swachh Bharat-Swasth Bharat, celebrating 75 years of Independence. Participants of Indian Army, NCC Cadets and children of local schools mesmerized the audience with their performance. The event commenced with cultural programme followed by flagging off Bike and Cycle Rally. NCC cadets marched to spread awareness about Swachh Bharat-Swasth Bharat. Adventure activities to include Rowing, Kayaking and Sailing were flagged off. The entire event was added with vibes of patriotism by the pipe band of Dogra Battalion. The winners of the adventure activities were also felicitated by the Chief Guest.( KINS)
