Srinagar, Jan 07: In a historic feat, the Indian Air Force (IAF) successfully executed a night landing operation at the challenging Kargil airstrip using a C-130 J aircraft.
“The mission, employing advanced terrain masking techniques enroute, marked a significant achievement in enhancing the IAF’s operational capabilities in challenging terrains” IAF said.
The unique operation not only showcased the precision and prowess of the IAF’s aircrew but also highlighted the strategic importance of conducting night operations in high-altitude regions.
The Kargil airstrip, known for its demanding topography, presented a formidable challenge that the IAF addressed with meticulous planning and cutting-edge technology.
