Mir Aatif

Bandipora, Aug 5 (KINS): A party delegation led by senior leaders of former MLA and former Minister Usman Majid visited the cloudburst-affected areas of Bandipora on Tuesday to assess the damage caused by the recent flash floods.
The delegation, headed by Zonal President Ghulam Hassan Lone, included Youth President Wasif Mir, Block President Surinder Nelopati, and other party workers. They met affected families, inspected damaged houses, and listened to the problems faced by the residents.
The leaders said many houses were badly damaged in the cloudburst, leaving several poor families without shelter. They expressed concern over the condition of the victims and said many people have lost their homes and are living in difficult circumstances.
The delegation urged the Jammu and Kashmir Government and the Bandipora district administration to immediately remove flood debris, level the damaged sites, and help families rebuild their homes before the winter season begins.
They also demanded immediate financial assistance, temporary shelter, and speedy rehabilitation for the affected families. The leaders said relief and restoration work should be completed without delay so that people can return to normal life.
The delegation assured the affected families that they would continue to raise their issues with the government until proper relief and rehabilitation are provided.(KINS)
