FIR Lodged Against Rumour Monger in Pulwama

Srinagar, Mar 27: Police station Rajpora has taken action against Sameer Ahmed Paray, son of Ab Rasheed Parray and resident of Kanikoot CB Nath, by registering an FIR against him for spreading false information. Paray, under the guise of the fake Facebook ID “Babar Azam,” uploaded a deceptive post featuring arms and ammunition, falsely claiming that a new militant from Pulwama had joined their ranks. This act by Paray, circulating misleading content on social media, has disrupted public peace and tranquility.
In response, a case under FIR No 23/2024 u/s 505(b)/IPC has been registered at Police Station Rajpora, with investigations already initiated to address the matter.
The general public is urged to refrain from disseminating any false information on social media platforms. Stringent measures will be taken against individuals found guilty of spreading malicious content online, as the authorities strive to maintain social harmony and security in the region.
