Two Notorious Drug Smugglers Booked under PIT NDPS Act in Baramulla

Srinagar, March 29: In a determined effort to combat drug trafficking and safeguard communities, the Baramulla Police have apprehended two notorious drug smugglers under the PIT NDPS Act.
Irshad Ahmad Wani, a resident of Pandithpora Bala Tangmarg, Baramulla, and Mohd Tajamul Masoodi, hailing from Bagander Pampore, Pulwama, were detained and subsequently placed in Central Jail Kot-Balwal Jammu after formal detention orders were obtained from the competent authority.
Despite their prior involvement in numerous cases, including supplying drugs to local youth in areas like Solinda, Khaipora, and Tangmarg, these smugglers persisted in their illicit activities.
The public is encouraged to report any instances of drug peddling or criminal behavior to the nearest police station or by dialing 112. Cooperation from citizens is vital in the ongoing efforts to eradicate the scourge of drugs from our society.
Rest assured, the police remain committed to taking stringent action against criminals in accordance with the law.”
