Police Seizes Residential Property of Hardcore Narcotics Smuggler in Uri, Baramulla

Srinagar, March 30: In a decisive move against drug trafficking, the Baramulla Police have confiscated a double-storeyed residential house valued at approximately Rs. 30.00 lacs, owned by notorious drug smuggler Azad Ahmad Mir, a resident of Dardkote Uri, District Baramulla.
The seizure was carried out under sections 68-E and 68-F (1) of the NDPS Act of 1985, linked to case FIR No.222/2021 u/s 8/21,29 NDPS Act of PS Uri.
The property was identified as unlawfully acquired during police investigation, believed to have been obtained through illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
This action underscores the steadfast commitment of the police to combat the drug menace, earning praise from local residents for their proactive stance.
