Shopian, Mar 09 : Government forces on Saturday morning launched cordon-and-search operation in at least three villages of shopian district.
Reports said that a joint team of Army’s 44 RR and special operation group of police (SOG) laid a siege at Shirmal, Heff and Molu Chitragam villages of the district.
Local reports said, forces are conducting door to door search operation in the area and are checking nearby orchards as well.
Meanwhile officials while confirming this nocturnal CASO told that the cordon was launched following credible inputs about the movement of some suspected militants.(KNO)
