Accused in High-Profile Conspiracy Case Surrenders to Srinagar Police

Srinagar, May 18: An accused involved in a conspiracy and various other crimes, including anti-national slogans and an attempted jailbreak, has surrendered to the Srinagar Police.
Ali Mohd Lone, also known as Advocate Zahid Ali, son of Habibullah Lone and resident of Nihama Pulwama, surrendered at the Rainawari Police Station on May 16, 2024. He was arrested in connection with Case FIR No. 19/2019, which includes charges under section 13 of the UAP Act and sections 147, 148, 149, 336, 332, 427, 307, 435, 436, 120, and 225 of the RPC.
Lone was allegedly involved in a range of crimes, such as arson, rioting, an attempt to jailbreak, raising anti-national slogans, and stone-pelting incidents at Srinagar Central Jail in 2019.
Notably, Ali Mohd Lone was identified as the spokesperson for the banned organization Jamat-e-Islami.
