Jammu, July 15: The Director General of Police, J&K, Shri R. R. Swain, delivered a compelling lecture at an orientation programme organized by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu today. Coordinated by Dr. Mahesh Gadekar and Dr. Sumesh P.S., the event brought together a diverse audience including IIM faculty, staff, jurisdictional police officers, and students.
Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director of IIM Jammu, Ms. Mekhla Sinha, Executive Director of GHRDC, and Dr. Sunil Gupta, DIG JSK Range, were also present at the event.
During his lecture, Shri Swain shared his extensive experiences and insights from over three decades in national security management. He emphasized the critical importance of clarity in matters of national security, noting that it directly impacts the safety and well-being of citizens. He cited instances where a lack of clarity led to adverse outcomes, highlighting the necessity for clear communication and strategic planning in security operations.
Shri Swain also shared his vision for a secure and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir, where citizens can live without fear. He stressed the importance of collaboration between security forces, intelligence agencies, and the public in achieving this vision.
The lecture was well-attended by new batches of PhD full-time students, PhD working professionals, MBA students, MBA Hospital Administration and Healthcare Management students, and EMBA students.
